✨ INWA Convention 2025 just got legendary… We’re beyond proud to announce that the one and only Leena Jääskeläinen — known globally as the godmother of Nordic Walking—will be the headline speaker at this year’s Convention in Lahti, Finland, the birthplace of Nordic Walking. 🇫🇮

Back in 1966, Leena introduced the idea of walking with ski poles in a Finnish PE class—and that bold move transformed fitness for millions. From her early advocacy in schools to her historic public demonstration at the 1987 Finlandia Walk, her nearly 60 years of innovation helped shape Nordic Walking into the global movement it is today.
This is more than a speech. It’s a moment of reflection, celebration, and inspiration—led by the woman who started it all.
