ANWI, the member association of INWA in Italy, organized on the weekend of 18.-19.3.2023 a conference in Viareggio, where over 100 ANWI’s Nordic Walking instructors were present. INWA President, Aki Karihtala was also present and gave a presentation about INWA’s latest developments. This included the INWA’s new Instructor education manual, introduction of the education and competition committees and the overall strategic plans of INWA. ANWI has one of the longest history with INWA and has been successfully promoting Nordic Walking in Italy according to the educational principles of INWA.

These face to face meetings are very important as personal contact is always the best option for communication and exchange of ideas. I am very happy to see that ANWI is taking long strides forward and has good plans to develop the quality and popularity of Nordic Walking in Italy.
